Advisory Council

The Maryville/Overdale Family Resource Center (FRC)

is looking for parents/guardians to serve on it's Advisory Council.

Advisory Council membership is comprised of parents, school and community representatives. The goal is to encourage collaboration and a link between school, home and the community which is at the core of a successful Family Resource Center.

  • Parent Representatives may include individuals such as grandparents and others who have legal custody of a child in the school. Parents or guardians on the advisory council must not be employees of the school district in any capacity.
  • Staff Representatives must include individuals that are employed by the school district and in some way have a connection with the school(s) served by the center.
  • Community Representatives may include individuals from the business community, health and human services agencies, private child care providers, police officers, civic organizations, etc.
